Kids with Cancer Society

Established in 1979, the Kids with Cancer Society was built through the efforts of volunteer parents and members of the community and today is considered a lifeline to those affected by childhood cancer.

The Kids with Cancer Society provides more program support than all other charities combined. Not only does the Society provide essential practical and psychosocial support to children with cancer and their families, but they also provide valuable funding for childhood cancer research and research on the long term effects of childhood cancer.

Our experience working with our new website, which has been developed by BlueShift Innovations and is powered by FinalFabric, has been great! The site has been designed so that we can make changes ourselves. This is so important to us as we have many events and therefore we are continually making changes and updates. We are a small organization of three staff and not one of us is techno savvy - so for us to be able to update our website ourselves is pretty incredible. It's as simple and user friendly as the other applications that we use on a daily basis such as email and creating word documents. With the website being this user friendly, we are able to save time and money, by not having to utilize the skills of an IT person on a regular basis. As a charity, saving time and money means that these resources remain focused on children with cancer and their families, which is who we serve and why we exist. Thank you BlueShift Innovations for helping us to simplify an area of our organization that we really didn't think was possible. Being able to have this type of control is important because you are not waiting on other people to make changes and it just eliminates that extra person.
